Who Am I?

I am a wife, a mom of three kids (9 year old boy, and 7 year old boy/girl twins) a friend, daughter, sister, aunt, and a health, nutrition and fitness enthusiast. I enjoy spending my free time outside and love to ski, hike, mountain bike, work out…and just about anything else to stay healthy and active. I am a former runner and endurance athlete so understand the fun, excitement and drive associated with competition. BUT, now I understand the balance of moderation. We do not have to have an impressive workout regimen to be healthy. And, we do not have to do hours of cardio to be healthy! Healthy movement and the nutrition we put in our bodies are the most important aspects to a healthy life. And, of course, we all need to have a little bit of fun, too! :)

I have always been interested in health and nutrition and wanted to learn how to eat right for my body. With the wealth of information that is available to us, I found much of it to be quite misleading. Perhaps each theory has an element of truth, but several factors have to be in place for those to work. So, I focused on what I thought was most healthy for my body and have learned a lot along the way. And, I would love to share that knowledge with you!

Achieving your best self does not have to be a struggle. We all operate on preexisting notions - much of what has no truth. And, the frustrating part is that the health and nutrition industry keeps changing what they deem to be the “healthy way to eat.” Then, to confuse us even more, what works for one person very well may not work for the next. That’s why I am here to help. I can assist you in learning how to eat well for your body, teach you how to listen to your body, and help you achieve your best self! Your metabolism can be repaired and your goals can be reached! And, even better, you can maintain that healthy weight. I promise.
